The OCR Life and Living Skills Vocational Diploma course provides learning experiences and activities which help increase students’ understanding, practical skills and knowledge. It helps develop self-confidence and self-sufficiency and provides invaluable preparation for the world of work.
Students improve their work and life skills through a series of cross-curricular vocational units. In addition they gain knowledge and understanding of a variety of vocational sectors which may help inform their future career path.

The Vocational Diploma is assessed entirely by short coursework assignments or practical tasks completed within the two-year course. Each is weighted identically. Students build up credits that contribute to the final award they receive.
Trips and Visits
As part of the ICT unit, students have visited an attraction to take photographs. Guest speakers from a variety of companies and sectors have also visited the school.
The Diploma in Vocational Studies allows students to investigate and experience a wide range of possible future careers, as well as providing essential life skills. It can be a step into further Vocational Education or Level 2 courses at college, as well as into apprenticeships and employment.
