It is important for all students to come to school dressed smartly. We feel that it gives students a sense of well-being, and enables them to identify readily with their school.
The current school uniform consists of a choice of black skirt or trousers for the girls, and black trousers for the boys, together with a white polo shirt with school badge and a blue sweatshirt with school badge.
In consultation with Total Promotions, our preferred uniform supplier, we have decided to adopt a uniform that is more formal in appearance, but one that can be worn alongside the existing uniform, during the transition period.
The new uniform can be seen in the photos above. Both a cardigan and V-necked jumper will be available to order during the summer term to wear from September. All new students will be required to wear the new uniform, whilst students in Years 8 to 11 have the option of continuing to wear their existing blue sweatshirts until they need to be replaced, for up to one year.
All students will be required to wear standard school trousers or skirt from September.
Approximate costs of the uniform are:
Jumper: £17 - £18
Cardigan: £17-£18
Skirts: £13
Girls’ Trousers: £14
Boys’ Trousers: £12 - £15
There is currently no change to the PE kit.
Boys:
Black trousers. These should not be denim or denim style, and should not be tight around the legs. Appropriate trousers can be purchased from other retailers, but are also available from Total Promotions for £12 - £15.
Navy V-necked Jumper or Cardigan with the School logo. It is not necessary to purchase both the jumper and cardigan, however, one should be worn as part of the standard uniform. These can be purchased from Total Promotions for £17 - £18.
White School Polo Shirt with the School logo. These should be worn under the school jumper or cardigan and should have a collar.
Plain dark-coloured socks.
Black School Shoes. No trainers or boots.
Girls:
Black skirt or full length trousers. Skirts should be just above knee-high length, and not figure-hugging. Trousers should not be denim or denim style and should not be tight around the legs. Appropriate skirts and trousers can be purchased from other retailers, but are also available from Total Promotions for £13 - £14.
Navy V-necked Jumper or Cardigan with the School logo. It is not necessary to purchase both the jumper and cardigan, however, one should be worn as part of the standard uniform. These can be purchased from Total Promotions for £17 - £18.
White School Polo Shirt with the School logo. These should be worn under the school jumper or cardigan and should have a collar.
Plain dark-coloured socks or tights.
Flat black shoes. No trainers or boots. Shoes with heels are not permitted.

All clothing must be named.
Visible jewellery should be restricted to a pair of stud earrings and a watch. Facial jewellery is not permitted. Make up should not be noticible; only colourless nail polish is permitted, and false nails should not be worn. Students should avoid extreme hair styles.

Please note: All coats, jackets, scarves and other outdoor wear need to be removed when indoors, and should not be worn in class.
