The Key Stage 4 programme at St Bede’s is based on providing students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to achieve their full potential at the end of their time with us in Year 11. All students engage in the core curriculum, including GCSE's in English, English Literature, Science, Maths, and RE. Alongside the core curriculum, students study GCSE's or Vocational qualifications in four additional subject areas of their choice, allowing them to develop their individual talents and interests. The inclusion of GCSE RE within our core GCSE programme, ensures that the ethos of St Bede’s is firmly imbedded and promoted within the Key Stage 4 Curriculum.
Alongside the academic programme at Key Stage 4, students are encouraged to become involved in some of the many extra-curricular activities on offer to students at St Bede’s, such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, Young Enterprise, school music and drama productions, and school and representative sports teams. Selected by their peers, some Year 11 students also form the Student Leadership Team, and take an active role in the organisation of the school.
