Y10 Business Studies Trip to Disneyland Paris 2019

There will not be a designated parents' meeting before this trip. Parents and carers should therefore download the  information booklet for their reference (please find the link at the bottom of this page). Any updates to students' personal, dietary or medical details should be amended via the school office prior to the trip. If you have any specific concerns please let the trip leader know.

The rules for travel to most countries in Europe change if the UK leaves the European Union (EU) with no deal.

After 29 March 2019:

  1. You should have at least 6 months left on your passport from your date of arrival. This applies to adult and child passports.

  2. If you renewed a passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your new passport’s expiry date. Any extra months on your passport over 10 years may not count towards the 6 months that should be remaining for travel to most countries in Europe.

The new rules will apply to passports issued by the UK, Gibraltar, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey.

We have been given this advice by our travel provider; any further information that may affect the trip will be posted here.

 Essentials checklist

The following should be brought by all students:

Any medication needed that is not kept at school - this could include travel medication. This should be handed to Mrs Williams 2 days prior to the trip

Waterproof coat - the weather is likely to be changeable so a coat is important. Please don't bring umbrellas.

Comfortable footwear - the Disney parks are large.

Wash things (towels are provided in the hotel rooms).

European travel plug for any electronic devices (if required) - the hotel does have some British plug sockets, but as there will be 5 students to a room they may need more.

Swimming things INCLUDING A TOWEL. Students cannot use the room towels for swimming so should bring their own OR hire one. Baggy swim shorts are not permitted in French pools.

Money for lunch on Thursday and tea on Friday. I would estimate 10 - 15€ for EACH meal.

Water bottles - there are loads of points to fill up with water!

Small bag for day use.

Spending money. In terms of souvenirs, Disney is expensive: an average Mickey Mouse is 20 euros, so I would limit spending to one or two small items!

Camera or phone to take photos.
