St Bede's School Crest

Ofsted

St Bede's was inspected by Ofsted in September 2004. We were delighted with the final report:

"Students' very positive attitudes are a significant factor in their good achievement. They are well motivated and try hard in lessons. They are keen to succeed. They are keen to learn and have high aspirations."

"A considerable proportion of lessons are consistently of a good quality that captures the imagination of the students, who respond by working hard and learning new skills rapidly."

The overall evaluation of the Inspection team was as follows:

"This good school serves its Anglican and Catholic communities well. It provides good value for money. It is improving steadily and is well placed to meet the challenges it faces. Students achieve well in a purposeful and harmonious atmosphere. Hence results at GCSE are above average and rising. Students develop well as individuals and show considerable care and respect for each other."
