Welcome

It is a great pleasure to introduce you to our unique school. We are proud of our well-deserved high reputation as the only Christian state secondary school in Cambridgeshire. St Bede's has become an increasingly popular choice amongst parents and we have expanded our roll because of this. Even so, the demand for places last year was still greater than the numbers we were able to admit. Parents choose us because of:

	our high standard of teaching
	our comparatively small size which means we really can offer Christian child-centred education
	our strong partnership with parents which underpins both academic and life skills learning

Our academic standards are high and it is rare for a student to leave without any formal qualifications. In January 2006 the Department for Education and Skills named St Bede's in the top 200 most improved schools in England!

However, we are just as concerned to develop the whole person - physical, social, moral and spiritual. Our Anglican and Roman Catholic foundations are a unique strength.
